cricket

Cricket is a bat-and-ball sport, mainly played in England, and is the second most popular sport in the world. The two teams consist of eleven players each and played on an oval grass field which has a cricket pitch in the centre. A wicket, that is made of wood and consist of three stumps, is placed at each end of the pitch.
In cricket, a team either defends the wicket or tries to score runs. The ball is hit with a wooden cricket bat by the batsman who defends the wicket. The bowler, a member of the other team, bowls the ball towards the batsman. The members of the bowler's team stand around the field and
try to catch the ball in order to stop the batsman from scoring runs.
